How to apply Urgo K-Four – Compression for leg ulcers

Welcome to this step by step guide on how to use Urgo K-Four.
K-Four is multi-layer compression bandage system indicated for the treatment of venous leg ulcers and provides the recommended therapeutic compression of 40mmHg pressure at the ankle (average donated pressure).
CONTRA-INDICATIONS – K-Four should not be used on patients who have marked ischaemia or impaired arterial blood supply (ABPI below 0.8). Ko-Flex contains low levels of natural latex.
K-Four is available in kits for:
• Ankle circumference of less than 18 cm
• Ankle circumference between 18-25 cm
• Ankle circumference between 25-32 cm
• Ankle circumference greater than 30 cm
All 25-30cm and greater than 30cm kits contain longer length bandages.
K-Four 18CM+ Reduced Compression is indicated for the treatment of venous leg ulcers where reduced compression is required (ABPI 0.6 - 0.8) according to local protocols, and provides the recommended therapeutic compression of 20mmHg pressure at the ankle (average donated pressure).
CONTRA-INDICATIONS – K-Four Reduced should not be used on patients who have marked ischaemia or impaired arterial blood supply (ABPI below0.6). Ko-Flex contains low levels of natural latex.
K-Four can be left in place for up to 7 days or at the discretion of the clinician.
