X-Plane Scenery Tour: KOQN Brandywine Airport | Home Cockpit

A tour of a completely redesigned KOQN Brandywine Airport (which I built in WED), featuring detailed pavement textures, accurate building placement, and hand-placed lighting throughout.

Today we look at one of my more recent X-Plane 12 scenery projects - a complete overhaul of Brandywine Airport (KOQN) outside Philadelphia, where I started my private pilot training. Using Laminar's free World Editor (WED) software, I've recreated this suburban GA airport with as much detail as I could muster using only default X-Plane objects, including custom crack overlays, proper pavement coloring, multi-object hangars with interiors, and every taxiway and runway light individually placed based on satellite imagery. We take a look in slew mode, then hop in the default Cessna 172 for quick day and night patterns to see how it looks from the air. I have submitted this to the X-Plane scenery Gateway, so I hope it appears in an X-Plane update to come.

X-Plane 12 users may download the scenery here until it shows up in X-Plane. It uses only default X-Plane objects, so there are no additional libraries to download. Just unzip and drop the folder in your Custom Scenery folder (and ensure it's at the top of your secenery_packs.ini file order:
