Starting sugar cane in water for the first time. I normally dig a trench, drop them in, cover them up with dirt then water.
The first time I planted sugar cane, two out of fifteen pieces sprouted. The sugar cane that I am about to plant are from those two pieces. Now I have even more and plan to expand and relocate the sugar cane patch.
