Prepositions are a type of connecting words. They link different types of nouns or phrases and also pronouns to other words within a sentence.They help generate more descriptive and meaningful sentences. They are Very short words. Generally placed directly in-front of nouns. Conjunctions are merely words that join together two words or two sentences (Phrases / clauses) and does the job of joining only. But prepositions totally govern the meaning of the relevant noun or pronoun and does a lot more than merely linking. Since and For are used both as Prepositions and Conjunctions.
