Jose Carreras burst on the opera scene in the early 70's and quickly became one of the most sought after tenors in the world. The voice was a full lyric and beautifully rounded with hints of a darker timbre that would lead him to heavier roles (some argued he took them on too soon).
I am championing his voice from this early time period, which I find to be his most complete and beautiful singing.
Please take a listen to a young tenor who at that time had one of the most beautiful voices in the world!!!
