"Make Good" came together fast, because the moment demanded it.
I was moved by everything surrounding Renee Good, and I knew I had to respond through creation. Sometimes art moves quicker than explanation - and creativity becomes its own form of protest.
I began writing this song on Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday, fueled by the urgency of this time and the call to stand upright in truth. I’m releasing it on January 16, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Founders Day (1920), in dedication to Renee Good.
This song is about momentum - refusing to kneel to false authority, choosing conscience over comfort, and making good on what love asks of us right now.
