The advent of Firebreather to the Standard Format is by far the best addition to one of the format's top decks, Gholdengo ex. Which begs the question, why does no one play the deck this way? Answer: Who knows.
You'll see as you watch, how this addition has natural synergy with both baby Ceruledge and Ceruledge ex. I can't say that Gholdengo is my favorite deck. I've always been a Chien Pao ex guy. But if I was chasing an invite, it would be hard not to consider this variant for any tournament, no matter what the gatekeepers say "The Play" is.
