Does your 2019-2021 Toyota tundra need a transmission cooler?

This video is for 2019-2021 Toyota tundra V8 trucks. Toyota discontinued the air oil cooler in the front on these models and multiple people have had failures and excessive heat in the Transmisson.

This video shows my experience and take on everything. Do as you wish with this information.

Items needed for transmission cooler add on

OEM thermostat housing
Part number # 32970-34030

Gates Transmisson cooler line 12’ needed
Part number # 27059 from o’reilly’s

You can use any brand of your choosing just make sure it’s rating for the PSI of transmission pressure and temperatures

GENUINE TOYOTA ATF WS Automatic Transmission Oil 00289-ATFWS (3) quarts

Or custom mounting pieces like I did.
It’s bendable galvanized aluminum with 1/2” galvanized bolts, crush washers, and nuts. Mounted on all four corners

Check oil fluid level with check bolt on level ground after install and remove check bolt around 100degrees (check monitor) once fluid is out on a trickle you can place bolt back in and torque to spec (15ft pounds or so) check your specific year and model 2wd/4wd
