In this episode we are headed to the heart of Alabama and we are looking for one of the biggest impact craters in the United States. That's right! 85 Million Years ago, Wetumpka, AL looked a whole lot different than it does today. Not only does this area host one of the largest meteor impact craters, but it is also home to one of the most iconic and historic areas in the country. This region has been occupied for over 10,000 years and is both a major burial ground for Indian culture and one of the origins of the "Trail of Tears". One trip to this area will give you a whole lot more than you bargained for. From food and fun to hospitality and culture, Wetumpka, AL is a huge stop on your travel plans.
