Traffic Lights Before Upgrade | Mack & Vernier

This video provides a crucial progress update on the major traffic light modernization project along the Vernier Road corridor in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan. At the main intersection of Mack Avenue & Vernier Road, the upgrade has reached a key milestone: 20 new 12-inch Durasig style signals and 16 new Countdown Pedestrian Signals have now been fully installed on the new black mast arms. The old incandescent traffic light system on its traditional wire span remains in operation while the new system awaits activation.

Further down the road, the status of the other new installations has changed. The new traffic lights at Sunningdale Park & Vernier Road are now fully operational, no longer in flash mode. However, the new signals at the nearby crossover on Vernier remain in flash mode and are not yet fully active.
