Proven CFM Performance
The IF2 boasts a CFM of 140 when unloaded, with a laser exhaust port and fan both measuring 3 inches in diameter, ensuring a perfect fit for your laser machine. When connected, the CFM is 122.

The CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute) of an inline fan is calculated by multiplying the vent area by the air velocity. The CFM ratings provided for inline fans are based on the cross-sectional area of the fan’s outlet, but when connected to a laser machine, the vent area should be calculated according to the size of the laser machine’s exhaust port, which limits the intake size. This results in a significant reduction in the actual achievable CFM. Therefore, when comparing fans connected to the same laser machine, a larger air velocity will lead to a stronger actual exhaust performance given a constant exhaust port size.

Traditional 6-inch fans have an unloaded CFM of 410, but when connected to the laser machine, the CFM drops to 65, resulting in a significant decrease in suction and airflow.

In tests conducted under the same conditions, the suction power of the new fan is three times that of the traditional 6-inch fan, while also demonstrating superior airflow performance.
