3. What do you wish someone told you as a student? If you could go back to when you were a student, what advice would you give yourself?

I am confident to say that I’ve taken every single bit of advice given from Career Connect – building my CV, cover letter, LinkedIn, polishing my interview skills. Yet there’s one more thing I wish I could take an extra mile – ask for as many face to face coffee catch ups to establish 1:1 Personal network relationship with professions – not until I graduated upon Covid and became unemployed after my part time job at ANZ. Personal network relation means, not only attending seminars or events like this and afterwards, adding people on LinkedIn and shooting them personalised message (yea that’s better than for some who just add people randomly without a proper intro, that’s kinda rude) , okay , but to get to know your “target” AND, let your “target” get to know you, and remembers you. (that’s how I get to know many of my colleagues now prior to I joined NAB). Member of Cultural Inclusion Committee : advocate to Break the Bamboo Ceiling
