you can make a change... | Sony FX6 - Short Film

Hello everyone! My name is Nate Caywood and I am a Los Angeles based cinematographer. And I want to get better at my craft, and in order to do that I am analyzing the work of other people who are far better than I am, in the hopes I can replicate their work when I am on set.

Today I have done something completely different that any other video I have done to the point. I have been doing lighting breakdowns on this channel for about 20 weeks now, about DPs work from Roger Deakins to Greig Fraser to Rachel Morrison and more. But I have been feeling compelled to get out and create my own work and put it out into the world.

Since the pandemic work in Hollywood has been the same, and since the strikes in 23/24 production is down 70% in the country. So there are a lot of people hurting and few opportunities than ever. So instead of getting sucked into being bummed about the phone not ringing. I am going to make stuff. And see how it goes. I hope you like it. Please let me know what you think!
