Off-Road Odyssey: Wari La & Chang La to the Blue Jewel of Ladakh 🇮🇳| Ep 4

Day 4 of our Himalayan Motorcycle Adventure takes us on the longest and toughest ride of the journey so far — 242 km from Hunder in Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake (Merak village).

We started at 7:30 a.m., riding past Diskit and crossing the Shyok River, before tackling 25 km of off-road dust and sand through Tsati village. After regrouping at Agham (3,285 m) with a hot cup of tea, we climbed the breathtaking Wari La Pass (5,312 m) — a hidden gem of Ladakh, where valleys, rivers, and grazing Yaks made the ride feel like a fairytale.

From there, we pushed on to Chang La (5,360 m), one of the highest motorable passes in the world, where the weather turned quickly, and we rode through our first Himalayan rain before reaching Durbuk for lunch. After a refuel at Tangste, it was a challenging 69 km ride through cold winds to finally arrive at Pangong Tso (4,350 m) by sunset.

This was a day of contrasts — from sunshine to rain, dust to snowmelt rivers, fatigue to triumph — and it will forever remain one of the most spectacular rides of the entire adventure.
