Driving in Germany: Bundesstraße B43 & B44 from FRA Airport to Frankfurt am Main City

In this video you can ride along on Bundesstraße B43 & B44 from Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA) to Frankfurt am Main city in Germany's Hessen state. Frankfurt am Main is one of Europe's largest airports and the largest / busiest airport in Germany.

Frankfurt am Main is a large banking / financial hub in Europe and home to many big financial institutions, rivalling the likes of London and New York. With its 650.000 inhabitants it has quite an impressive skyline, something you don't really see elsewhere in Germany. Most of the higher towers in the city center are office buildings (mostly banks / financial), although in recent years more of the newer towers are also residential. The downtown district is nicknamed 'Mainhattan', being situated on the Main river banks.

The B43 / B44 connection is one of the main ones to get into the city from the airport, although the extensive Autobahn network can also be used. The well-known A3 runs passed the airport, as does the A5. Further regional Autobahns like the A66, A661, A67 & A60 form the city's circumference.

I decided to make a bit of a detour once I reached downtown just to show some parts of the city, although traffic got quite intense as you can see.
