Kitchen Decluttering: Preparing for Moving Sale With Less Stress

Kitchen decluttering is often the hardest part of a move because it’s the heart of the home. Today, I’m walking through how I’m handling my kitchen as we prepare to sell our house and move into our next chapter.

I’m sharing the story of letting go of my mother's KitchenAid mixer—a beautiful heirloom that I loved, but wasn't using enough. Passing it on to my daughter as she starts her adult life was a "gift to my future self" and hers.

I also talk about the practical side of preparing for a moving sale: pre-boxing and pre-pricing items now so that I’m not overwhelmed later. Plus, we discuss the concept of "bandwidth"—why I'm choosing not to go extreme minimalism right now while we are busy with school, work, and basement renovations.
