Before the World Cup, the best nation in football was decided at the Olympics. Uruguay were emerging as the best team in the world, by winning the Olympics in both 1924 and 1928, led by their star player José Andrade.

This is the story of how Uruguay hosted and won the first World Cup, and how Andrade became the first football superstar.
