Two states discuss the process they went through to set and evaluate their Immunoreactive Trypsinogen (IRT) cutoffs. IRT is the initial screening marker for cystic fibrosis (CF) in newborns, as high levels in an infant's blood can indicate pancreatic injury or disease, including CF.
