Prince - Batman (1989) - The Facts You DIDN'T Know

1989 saw another first for Prince - His first soundtrack album for a movie that wasn't his own project. Batdance ran the full gamut from classic Prince funk to ballads to new progressive sample-based funk in the title track, Batdance. But critics viewed it as a mixed bag. Despite this, the soundtrack, just like the movie, was a commercial success, staying at #1 in the album charts for 6 weeks.
