Where are all my COGIC folks? The 85th Holy Convocation, Church of God in Christ (11.6.1992) Midnight Musical! The back story to everyone else, my Dad would go to Memphis EVERY year and videotape the National Convocation, held at Mason Tempe COGIC until their policies changed on "no videotaping."
For those of you that know all about this. This is so on point on how those musical would go. In this footage is Richard White (Mr. Clean), remember him? He and the Clark sisters (with Mattie Moss Clark), doing their thing! ...
I remember growing up, I couldn't wait to go to see all the singers and let's not forget the coffee shop and going to breakfast AFTER the midnight musical, I felt so grown-up back then being able to stay out late. hahahaha. We had so much fun! We would stay with our Memphis family, attend all the services together, and see people from all across the country. Mr. Clean leading the song, (“God is not through blessing you”).
