Russia claims separatists have taken control of Sievierodonetsk in eastern Ukraine

Russian state TV has claimed that Sievierdonetsk, a city in the Luhansk Oblast of Ukraine, is under the control of separatists.

Ukraine says its troops are trying to hold on to the city despite intense shelling.
