Pantera - Floods (Bass Cover)

Its kinda hard to tell extactly what Rex does during the breakdowns, even with the original bass stem. I tried to see what he did when I saw them live, and tried looking at as many live videos as I could but still am not sure. Also a few little hiccups during the solo but I think its pretty damn good.
Not too happy with the tone, though. Rex has a very specific tone, I didnt manage to quite get it with this one. See below for the settings I had.

New strings of course, I dont remember what my pickups were set to, recorded this video so long ago. It was most likely full Precision pickup and maybe a bit of the Jazz pickup. Tone knob on full.

Level at 2 o'clock. Drive at 2 o'clock. Only a tiny bit of blend (wet). Not even sure if this pedal did anything to the tone tbh 😝 I use it all the time for other videos though.

Tube screamer: (The green pedal)

Drive at 9 o'clock. input gain at 3.3 . Tone on full. Level on full. Set to MOD mode.
Really helps give it high-end clarity.

Im using a free version of it which has white-noise every so often :/
Here's what I was using within it:
Preamp: 360Bass Preamp
Treble at 3 o'clock, thats the only thing I changed in it
Cab: 4x10+tw TE Bass

And a little bit of Ableton's default reverb effect
