John Bowlby's attachment theory. The basis of the therapeutic parenting approach in adoption. John Bowlby developed attachment theory in the 1960's and Mary Ainsworth continued to develop his ideas. This video gives you a basic understanding of secure and insecure attachment. It also outlines the four attachment catagories.
