Dror Galil High School - Professions of the Future & Tikkun Olam

In the foundation of the "I believe" of the school is the Social Pedagogy, developed for years in Dror Educational Centers Network (NPO). This pedagogy emphasizes the essential connection between education and society - a meaningful education that puts Tikkun Olam at the center of learning.

The Principles of Social Pedagogy:
• Whoever does tikkun to one soul does tikkun to the world entire - a belief in each participant's right and ability to fulfill themselves in their own unique way. The central element of the educational process is the student and not predetermined structures.
• Tikkun Olam - learning processes that deal with the real-life challenges facing the individual, society, and the world and that seek to develop in the student a worldview based on a strong moral foundation.
• Tikkun Atzmi – Self-change - Creating a change-generating educational process that gives the students direction towards fulfillment and meaning in their lives.
• Tikkun of Dialogue - creating meaningful dialogue that creates a sense of value, presence, responsibility, creativity and leadership.
• Tikkun of Relationships – activity within the peer group where relationships and interpersonal encounters create a sense of belonging and growth in the classroom, in the social group, in the educational staff and in the broader community.
• Tikkun of Learning – Providing knowledge, skills and abilities essential to human life in the rapidly-changing reality of our world.

Dror Galil – High School of the Future has taken on the challenge of adapting the school to the changes of the 21st century by developing a school model suitable for the reality in which youth are growing up today: a unique combination of advanced, future-oriented vocational training, developed social thinking and values-based education.
