Come see a trendy neighborhood near Shinsaibashi and Dotonbori | Horie district, Osaka

About 100 years ago, the Horie District of Osaka (just west of American Village and Shinsaibashi area) was known as furniture town since lumbar was easily transported along the rivers to the south and west of this area.

After being burnt down by bombings during the war, this area has been rejuvenated to a trendy and fashionable area with coffee shops, bistros, vintage clothing shops along with a handful of furniture shops with many years of history.

A nice place to spend an afternoon.
