VIRAJPET, The less traveled side of Coorg | Kakkabe | Nalknad Palace | Coorg Tourist Places Holiday

Coorg or Kodagu is known as the "Scottland of India" due to green rolling hills, abundant waterfalls, and grasslands. Virajpet is a less-traveled part of Coorg and preserves most of the hills, jungles, and natural resources in its best form. Visit to historical Nalknad palace, waterfalls, and trek to Tadiandamol Peak is some of the famous activities of Virajpet. In fact, many travel here just to enjoy nature, stargaze and have a relaxed plantation stay.
We stayed at Palace Estate during our visit, a homestay that is right on the edge of a large coffee plantation and has a private waterfall. It is a good place to stay right on Thadiyandamol Trail. The nearest town is Kakkabe.
