Archie Moore discusses his monumental installation kith and kin, which traces his Kamilaroi and Bigambul relations over 65,000+ years and centres First Nations histories, languages, and understandings of time.
Project introduction by Djon Mundine OAM (Bandjalung, curator, writer, artist, and activist).
Artist talk in conversation with Ellie Buttrose (Curator, Contemporary Australian Art, QAGOMA).
This talk includes references to deceased Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as well as discussions of deaths in custody, violence, racism, and the use of offensive language. The views and opinions expressed in this video are those of the speakers.
