This Functional workout is the Push workout, of the Push, Pull, Leg workout. The muscle groups are chest, shoulders and triceps.
The exercises are:
Chest:
Incline bench
flat bench
decline bench
Shoulders:
shoulder row
shoulder press
rear delt pull
Triceps:
overhead extensions
tri pushdowns
lateral head tri extension
It's for building muscle (hypertrophy), You are trying to get 12 reps on each set. @MyofitnessTSJT
It's an ascending workout, where you start with a light weight, do 12 reps, rest for a few breaths, add a half or whole plate, depending on your strength and do another 12 reps. You will do 5 sets for each exercise.
Once you do 12 reps on all 5 sets, you will start with a heavier weight next workout. If you don't get 12 reps on all 5 sets, you will use the same weight for each set. This reduces your risk of injury and speeds your results.
This workout is great for building muscle, losing weight and getting more flexible.
