Overall, this is a well-designed machine and excellent for hobby use. It is a lot of fun to put together, taking about 8 hours. All the parts fit together well with a couple minor exceptions that were easily handled.

This is a good CNC router for the hobbyist.

The only 2 concerns I have are:

1. Evolution 4 has got structure and rigidity with the exception of the carriage in the Y direction. There is some flexing under low pressure which may affect the finish quality. Smaller depth of cuts and perhaps lower feed rates will compensate.

2. The roller rails for the gantry are not covered. Chip buildup can cause some stress on the roller assembly. this is easily fixed with painters tape (see video)

As a hobbyist machine, I give it a high rating. Their customer service is exceptional and the delivery of stuff is super fast. Their YT videos are there to help.

If you are definitely buying a CNC router, you will not be able to run it without cutting tools. Below is a list of starter tools with links
