프랑스 소도시 콜마르에 중세 목조 건물이 이루는 아름다운 풍경 속 단정한 모습으로 솟은 벽돌 건물이 있습니다. 이젠하임 제단화(祭壇畫)가 유명한 성 안토니 수도원을 개축하고 이어 신축한 박물관입니다. 스위스 건축가 헤르조그 드 뫼롱이 설계한 박물관은 옛 것과 새 것, 건물과 도시 광장의 새로운 앙상블을 만듭니다.
There is a neatly towering brick building amidst the beautiful landscape of medieval timber buildings in Colmar, a small city in France. This is a museum built following the reconstruction of the Monastery of St. Anthony renowned for Isenheim Altarpiece. Designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron, the museum forms a new ensemble of old and new, and buildings and city plaza.
