SWARNENDU MANDAL :-
Swarnendu Mandal, a distinguished young sarod player and composer from Kolkata, is widely regarded as one of the promising torchbearers of the Senia-Shahajahanpur gharana—celebrated for its lyrical and purist style.
A devoted disciple of the late Padmabhushan Pt. Buddhadev Dasgupta, he continues his musical journey as a Senior Scholar at the ITC Sangeet Research Academy under the guidance of Ustad Abir Hussain.
A recipient of the CCRT National Scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, Swarnendu is also a graded artist of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He also received the Sri Shanmukhananda Bharatratna Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship in Music Award 2025.
His performances across India, Europe, and the United States have been lauded for their depth, melodic sensitivity, and command over the instrument. With a vision to bring the sarod to wider audiences, Swarnendu beautifully blends traditional rigor with a contemporary musical sensibility, establishing himself as one of the finest young voices in Indian classical music today.
ANJISHNU MUKHERJEE :-
Anjishnu is a highly promising young talent from a renowned musical family. His mother, Vidushi Indrani Mukherjee, is one of India's leading vocalists, while his father, Sri Apurba Mukherjee, is a distinguished tabla player. Anjishnu began his tabla training at the age of five under his father's tutelage, and since 2014, he has been studying under the guidance of Pandit Arup Chattopadhyay. Both his father and Pandit Arup Chattopadhyay belong to the prestigious Farrukhabad Gharana and are disciples of the legendary tabla maestro Pandit Shankar Ghosh. Since 2024, Anjishnu has been delving into the intricacies of Carnatic rhythm under the tutelage of Vidwan S. Sekhar.
In 2017, his dedication was recognized with a Cultural Talent Search Scholarship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT), Government of India. He also received the Sri Shanmukhananda Bharatratna Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship in Music Award 2025.
Anjishnu's talent has taken him to international stages, including a tour in France in 2016, where he performed at the FIMU Festival and gave several tabla solo concerts. In 2025, he toured Bangladesh at Satori Academy of Arts, Dhaka.
He has also performed at prestigious platforms, including a tabla solo at the West Bengal State Music Academy’s Annual Classical Music Conference in 2022, "Shubhodhwani" in 2023, a tribute to the maestro Shubhankar Banerjee, and a tabla ensemble at the Sangeet Piyasi Annual Festival in 2022.
