Blockheads emerged in the early '90s in Nancy, with a key milestone being the addition of guitarist and vocalist Fred Léhuga in 1991. The band quickly established itself in the extreme grindcore scene with its relentless chaos, blistering blast beats, and raw energy, earning a place alongside legends like Carcass and Napalm Death.

BRUTAL ASSAULT is an annual open-air metal festival held since 1996 in the historic 18th-century military fortress of Josefov, Czech Republic.
