Meet Christian Mose, a sixth-year PhD candidate in our Genetics and Genomics program who's breaking ground in Friedreich's ataxia research. 🧬
Diagnosed at nine alongside his twin sister, Christian has turned his personal journey into powerful science. From participating in research studies to training his service dog Artemis, to collaborating with Bill Nye the Science Guy for FA awareness, Christian embodies what it means to be a scientist-advocate.
"Being someone that has the disease and studying it, I kind of understand a little bit more because I myself experience those things," Christian shares. His mission? To bridge the gap between complex science and the public, making genetics accessible to everyone.
Thank you for what you do, Christian. Your voice, your research, and your advocacy are making waves in science and beyond. 🐊💙
