As you may know, Our brain is separated into two different hemispheres. In the middle the two hemispheres are connected via the Corpus Callosum which allows instant communication between them.

Each of the hemispheres of our brain have prescribed functions or specialities. In this manner the brain avoids duplication of function. Our hemispheres always work together so that we will experience a combination of right and left hemisphere in everything we do.

The right side of the brain controls the left side of the body and the left brain the right side. Although the two sides are similar, there are some small differences in anatomy and their functions are slightly different.

There is, however, a tendency for one hemisphere to be dominant. This dominance effects how we respond to new experiences and situations,. Armed with the knowledge of how we use our brains, we are better equipped to know the style of learning most effective to us.

The corpus callosum, the bundle of nerve fibers that connects our brain hemispheres, is thicker in ambidextrous individuals.
