5.0 MODEOFSELECTION: clause 2.0 The mode of selection consists of (1) Written Test and (2) Physical Ability Test for post at Sl. no 1. of clause 2.0. The mode of selection for post at Sl. No. 2,3,4 & 5 consists of (1) Written Test and (2) Trade Test. The maximum marks for written test will be 100 marks and the second level test (PhysicalAbility Test/Trade Test)will beofqualifyingnature. Sl. For answering the questions Optical Mark Reader/Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet will be provided or any other mode asdecidedbyNMDCLtd. 5.2 NMDC reserves the right to cancel / withdraw any question/questions from the writtentestevenatthetimeofevaluationifrequiredunderanycircumstances. TheWrittenTestquestionpaperforFieldAttendent(Trainee)Postshallconsistsof 5.3 (a) thefollowing: Sl. No. Subject Marks a) General Knowledge 70 Marks b) Numerical and reasoning ability 30 Marks 5.3 (b) The Written Test question paper for the post of Maintenance Assistant (Mech) (Trainee), MaintenanceAssistant(Elect)(Trainee),BlasterGr-II(Trainee)andMCO Gr-I(Trainee)shallconsistsofthefollowing: Part –I Sl. No. Subject Marks a) Subject Knowledge (on specific trade) 30 Marks Part –II b) c) General Knowledge Numerical and reasoning ability 70 Marks 30 Marks The subject knowledge paper of Written Test will be on specific trade / Job. However, the subject knowledge paper of written test for Motor Mechanic and Diesel Mechanic Trades for the post of MaintenanceAssistant (Mech.) (Tr.) will be oneforboththeTrades. 5.4 Thecandidateswillbecalledfor2ndleveltestonthebasisofperformanceinwritten test byfollowingreservationpolicy.However,thecandidateshouldsecureminimum marksinwrittentest,whichisasfollows: “SC/ST/PWD-40marks,OBC(NCL)-45marksandUR/EWS-50marks”. nd 5.5 Ratioofcandidatestobecalledfor2 LevelTest: nd Thecandidates for the post of Field Attendent (Trainee) will be called for 2 level test i.e., Physical Ability Test in the ratio of 1:3, basedonmarksobtainedintheWrittenTest. Thecandidatesforthe postsmentionedatSl.No.2,3,4&5ofclauseno.2.0willbecalledfor2ndleveltest i.e., Trade Test, trade-wise/discipline-wise in the ratio of 1:3 which is on the basis of marks obtained in the written test. In case, two or more candidates in the same trade/discipline secured equal marks in the written test and the ratio of 1:3 is increasing, in such case all those candidates secured equal marks will be called for 2nd level test irrespective of the above ratio. Candidates have to secure minimum qualifyingMarksinthewrittentestasperclause5.4tobecalledfor2ndleveltest. nd 6.0 TradeTest/2 LevelTest: nd There will be 2 level test i.e., Trade Test for posts in RS-2 &RS-4level which is qualifying in nature. There will be a PhysicalAbility Test for Field Attendant (Trainee) (RS-01) which will also be qualifying in nature. The qualifying marks inTradeTest/ 2nd LevelTest (out of a total of 100 marks) will be as under: (i) (ii) (iii) 6.1 40percentmarksforUR/EWSCandidates 37percentmarksforOBC(NCL)Candidatesand 30percentmarksforSC/ST/PWD nd The candidates who have attended for 2 level test and failed to secure above qualifying marks stand disqualified for considering their candidature in final meritlist. nd 6.2 Procedure for 2 Level Test (i.e., Trade Test / Physical Ability Test): ThePhysicalAbilityTest for the post of FieldAttendent (Trainee) is mandatoryandit is only qualifying in nature and its marks will not be included in the Written Test marksfor final selection. The TradeTest will be conducted in the respective trade in respectofpostsmentionedatSl.No.2,3,4&5ofclauseno.2.0whichismandatory. qualifyingin2ndLevelTestandfurthersubjecttoclauseno.6.1above. nd 6.3 The merit list of the candidates
