The Atonement Part 9 - C.S. Lewis and Repentance Enablement

In Mere Christianity, C.S. Lewis presents an original theory of the Atonement. He does not think that this theory is the literal truth, as he does not think that any single theory fully captures how the Atoning work of Christ works. Rather, this is a theory that Lewis says is personally helpful. This theory understands Christ's submission, suffering, and death as necessary for God to help us sufficiently repent, which we cannot do on our own due to our sinful nature. I refer to this theory as Repentance Enablement.
