We escaped Barcelona for a weekend in Occitania, a really underrated region in the south of France, and ended up in the little coastal town of Leucate. It’s one of those places that feels a bit like the French Riviera, just without the crowds.
In this video we drive through Catalonia, cross into France, eat way too many oysters, explore a finalist-level French patisserie, go on a champagne hunt (and fail), check out some Occitan real estate we absolutely can’t afford, and stumble into a proper vintage flea market in a parking lot. On the way back we take the road through the Pyrenees — snowy mountains, snacks with a view, and a perfect Catalan sunset at the end.
