Solving DOUBLE PENDULUM with NEWTONIAN MECHANICS

In this video I will solve, step by step, the double pendulum with forces and Newton's second law! No Lagrangians. It is an amazing exercise to test your understanding of forces, because even though it is rarely done this way, and I've seen no other videos tackling it with Newtonian mechanics, it is definitely solvable, and not even that difficult at the end of the day, which will become apparent as we go through the entire derivation.

This video doesn't include solution for the final equations themselves, since they are the same ones you would get with the Lagrangian method, and there are plenty of videos dealing with that already. I hope you enjoy it, if you have any question or suggestion for possible future videos, we can talk it out in the comment section. It is a pretty radical departure from what I usually do on this channel.
