AC Odyssey Could Have Been Amazing

So I was tinkering in AC Odyssey and found an outfit combination that really sold the "proto-assassin" look to me. The flowing garments with the half-hood, and half-helmet made Kassandra look more like a pre-assassin figure that truly belonged in the AC universe. I went around the world completing missions and being stealthy, and I remembered there is fun to be had with AC odyssey, it just feels like the game doesn't want you to have fun. The amount of effort I need to exert to have an immersive experience is insane, and even then, the fun will be ruined by some stupid quest or goofy dialogue. The voice acting is horrible and so is the writing, and the combat is unholy, so I find myself having streaks of immersive fun ruined by so many poor decisions the developers made.

This is why, as I was playing the game, I imagined what AC Odyssey could have been. Ideally, a game with Aya, where she wears an outfit similar to the one you see in the video. The story would see her continue her work of founding the assassin brotherhood, as we are given an open-ended goal, similar to Elden ring, of killing one final templar. It is up to us whether we march straight in and give it a shot, or whether we explore Greece killing smaller targets and gathering more intel on how to properly infiltrate the grand master's fort. A marriage between ac unity and ac origins mission design would be awesome. The ancient world serves perfectly for an alternative assassins creed experience that can still feel like "assassins creed", the problem is Ubisoft only achieved that once, with origins, and it's a true tragedy because I do believe we could have had something special with Odyssey.
