In this talk dr Robert Haddad undertakes a study of Scripture to identify the five 'trees of life' planted by God throughout salvation history to provide humanity with a food of eternal life.
The first of these trees is the Tree of Life planted in the Garden of Eden, which was lost to humanity because of Original Sin. This tree was eventually replaced by God, firstly, with the 'tree' planted by Moses in Sinai and then, ultimately by the 'tree' planted by Jesus Christ on Mt Calvary. The fruits of the Tree of Life planted by Jesus Christ are baptism and the Eucharist, fruits that are now available through the Catholic Church.
The Mass is the fourth Tree of Life and it is through the Mass that the faithful can receive the Eucharist as the food of resurrection, glorification and eternal life.
Finally, Robert goes on to show that for all those who persevere God has waiting for them another, final, Tree of Life in the Heavenly Kingdom, as outlined in the Book of Revelation, chapters 2 and 22.
