Troedrhiwfuwch was a small, bust bustling Village situated in the South Wales Valleys, UK. It was once a thriving mining village with over 600 residents. During the early part of the 1980's, a survey was carried out on the mountain that over looked the village, the survey revealed the mountain had started to move, in the wake of the Aberfan Disaster, the decision was made that for their own safety, the village residents would have to vacate and their homes would be demolished. To this day, there has not been any landslides from the adjacent mountain.
Although the village has since long gone, The community spirit of its past residents still stands strong. This is just some of their stories.
