http://butopia.net The soul connection of love written, spoken, sang by Tokiko Oyama and danced by Maureen Freehill. We connected at the level of our respective butoh processes with our teacher Kazuo Ohno here in Orcas Island Oddfellows Hall just after the Rainbow Canopy of Gratitude performance & during annual Orcas Contact Improvisation Jam. Tokiko gave Maureen the plaque asking her to dance a response after listening to her sing. Maureen dances on a painting made in their performance the night before by Live Sumi & Martial Artist Koji Oguchi. This was our final farewell before they returned to tsunami struck area of Fukushima, Japan.
