𝟮𝟬.𝟬𝟬-𝟮𝟭.𝟬𝟬 (𝗚𝗠𝗧+𝟴)

This 𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗲𝗽𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗱𝗲 of 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗬 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝟯 features 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗴, a graduate of the Bachelors in Music (Honours) Programme at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore majoring in Erhu performance. She is currently the Zhonghu Sectional Leader of the Singapore National Youth Chinese Orchestra, as well as a part-time musician at Ding Yi Music Company. Alongside her is 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘆𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗵 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵 (Singapore), a Malay-Muslim female artist that performs, choreographs and teaches Malay folk dance. She believes in the power of the body to confront and overcome the conditioned shame that is often attached to female sexuality.

𝗠𝗜𝗔𝗢 𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 淼舞 is proud to present 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥𝗬, an hour long improvisation jam between one dancer and one musician / sound artist.

Exploring the intersectionalities and possibilities of the sonic and physical realms, the performance project aims to promulgate the concepts of improvisation, exploration, experimentation and collision.

Artists are challenged to meet on the afternoon of performance day at 5pm to discuss their strategies (if any) for the evening's improvisation performance at 8pm. The spontaneity of each unique sharing thus underscores its own ephemerality, for makers and viewers.
