Michael Jackson | Heal The World: The Special Concert (Los Angeles, February 2, 1994)
(Hypothetical timeline)
The "Heal The World Foundation" founded in 1992, continued its mission to raise funds after the Dangerous World Tour, which ended in November 1993 due to Jackson's health amid allegations. Jackson had plans to perform a series of Dangerous Tour concerts in the United States in early 1994, but it wasn't possible. Instead, 3 concerts took place on January 31 (1 year since the Super Bowl presentation), February 1 and 2, where other artists also performed. Years later, this idea would be used in 1999 for another charity concert called "MJ & Friends," and the tracklist would also be adapted for the MTV Video Music Awards in 1995, which was significantly shortened.
During this time, Michael Jackson was producing his upcoming album "HIStory," so the concert band (led by Brad Buxer) changed its sound style to one similar to the Royal Concert and the HIStory Tour. It's worth noting that in this concert, there would be more lip-syncing as Michael still had concerns and worries related to the allegations and his rehabilitation. Therefore, only "Who Is It" and "Black Or White" were performed live.
The setlist slightly changed for the February dates, as on January 31st, the songs "Man In The Mirror" and "Keep The Faith" were performed as encore of the concert.
Tracklist:
1. Medley (Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough/The Way You Make Me Feel/Jam/Rock With You/Black Or White/Slash Guitar Section/Billie Jean)
2. Who Is It
3. Dangerous
4. Heal The World
This concert marked the only time "Who Is It" was performed, and "Black Or White" was played in the key of "Give In To Me." Additionally, it was the last time this version of "Dangerous" was performed, as it would be replaced with a new version in 1995 and used thereafter.
Thanks to the person who played the Slash section, I don't know who played it tbh.
