Hello and welcome to The Right Pear Plot.

We have only managed a few visits to the allotment plots over the last couple of weeks. Part due to my busy work schedule and part due to the weather!!

We still managed to get a few jobs completed ✔️

Got the 3 sweet potato plants🍠 in their 30ltr buckets with our homemade compost, 🥰 and they are doing great.

I planted out our Greek gigante plants that the lovely Kerry ‪@dogontheplot‬ sent us, and they are dodging any slug/snail attacks so far.

I built a support for our cucumbers and courgettes that were planted in the quadgrows.

I planted out a lot of flowers around both plots and I harvested our first peas 🫛 a handful of first earlies, some lettuce 🥬 and our first strawberries 🍓

I also took the plunge and pulled a garlic bulb up…NO ALLIUM LEAF MINOR 😍 (sorry to Rach ‪@ericandrachallotmenteers‬ she lost some of her shallots this week to the onion fly 🥲 and I think Leeks to the ALM) pesky pests!!

Clare ‪@TheFarmyardGarden‬ do you think Luther V will get too unruly in the greenhouse? Dont want him taking over 🤣🤣

Tricia lent a helping hand to our site manager Paula last week, and helped mow the grass around our site to keep it looking smart. Great job 👏

I’ve also been trying my hand at making kombucha, and with the help and support of Nik over at ‪@ThatBritishHomestead‬ it’s going well so far. Will do a little video of me bottling when the time comes in a few days.

Thank you everyone again for all your lovely messages, I’m feeling great and ive got up to 3 more weeks to wait for results.
