This is our fifth stop on our PNW (Pacific Northwest) trip, follow along as we make our way up to Seattle!
Fly with us into majestic Tillamook Airport onto Runway 31. This airport has FREE transient parking and easy access to self-service fuel. It’s extremely scenic and the entire town in friendly but getting around town can be difficult – read below for more info.
TRANSIENT PARKING
There is plenty of transient parking with tie-down chains southwest of RWY 13-31. Look for the windsock and you’ll spot the transient parking west of that. There are NO overnight fees. Tie down your plane and be on your way.
FBO
The FBO is located south of the self-serve fuel and west of RWY 13-31. There’s a big kitchenette with all kinds of seating, clean restrooms and friendly folks. Stop in for some water and coffee and hang out on the patio to plane spot.
FUEL
Self-serve fuel is located north of the FBO. Fuel is a little more expensive here than the inland airports but not outrageous, we paid $5.50/gal in October 2024.
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are located inside the FBO.
CREW CAR / CAR RENTAL
There are (2) two crew cars available for free on a first come basis. When we arrived they were both gone. Luckily we had reserved a rental car through E&E Auto Center. The process was a bit more involved than a typical car rental but proved to be worth it. If you’re spending the night we HIGHLY recommend you rent through E&E. We paid $155.50 for a 3 day rental. Uber and taxi service are also available if you prefer, check out the airport website link below.

FOOD
There are no restaurants on-site and you won’t find any snacks in the FBO. Grab a car (crew car or rental) and head into town. The Tillamook Creamery has a kitchen with food options for everyone (salad, burgers, mac n cheese, pizza) along with dessert (ice cream!). For breakfast try Lindsey’s Lattes, a coffee cart off the main road and across the street from McDonalds. Not only is the coffee good but they have breakfast sandwiches, burritos and bagels. For sit down options we recommend heading into the town of Garibaldi, just north of Tillamook.
While you’re here don’t forget to visit Cape Meares. There is a beautiful lighthouse, amazing scenery and the Octopus Tree. There are all levels of hiking trails with incredible scenic views all around. https://stateparks.oregon.gov/index.c...
If you’re looking for a place to stay, we recommend Sheltered Nook. These are tiny homes nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Located within a 10-15 min drive to everything you could need, it is centrally located. We really enjoyed our stay in these – but be advised – they are TINY!
