'Summertime Blues' was a song recorded and released in 1958 by American singer and musician Eddie Cochran, and the forerunner to other well known songs he wrote/co-wrote including 'C'mon Everybody' and 'Somethin' Else'.
It is an example of 'rockabilly music' (an early sub-genre of rock 'n' roll), which was popular in the 50's.
Sadly, Eddie Cochran died in an automobile accident in England whilst on tour, when the taxi he was travelling in crashed into a concrete lamppost - he was just 21 years old.
