₱1.8B Road Project Between Pangasinan and Zambales | Daang Katutubo to Daang Kalikasan

In this video, we revisit Daang Kalikasan, the ambitious Pangasinan–Zambales mountain road project built to drastically shorten travel time from Mangatarem, Pangasinan to Zambales.

We break down why this road was built, how much of it is already completed, and why it remains closed to the public. According to reports, the project cost reached approximately ₱1.5B–₱1.8B, including an estimated ₱300M bridge located near the provincial boundary. Beyond faster travel, this road is expected to improve product transport, support agriculture and local businesses, and significantly boost tourism in both Pangasinan and Zambales.

Once completed, travelers will no longer need to pass through Alaminos or the western part of Pangasinan, as only mountain terrain separates Mangatarem from Zambales. This makes the route especially attractive to motorcycle riders, road trippers, and adventure travelers, thanks to its breathtaking views along the mountain ridges.
