Octoberfest and Car Show 2022 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas

Octoberfest celebration and Car Show at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas , Nevada . I spent 4 years in Germany in the Army during the 1980's and loved it . Going to an event like this brings back so many memories . I also love classic cars and muscle cars , so a car show was an added bonus . Of course they had to add a few VW Bugs since Volkswagen is from Germany . Unfortunately the octoberfest fair was a little disappointing . Not a lot of people there , but it was the last day so maybe it was busier the 2 days before .

The beer was only a few to select from an none were German ! For shame ! They had local craft beers and Heineken and a few others . There was also some liquor there like Bullet Bourbon . The food selection was minimal with big pretzel with mustard , a wurst plate , and a small schnitzel plate . Schnitzel is supposed to be big . I will be going to my favorite local German restaurant for my Octoberfest Feast and Octoberfest real German Beer or Bier as they spell it .

I was stationed at Ramstein Air Force base when I was in the Army and we drank a lot of Parkbrau which is now just called Park Beer . A friend of mine goes back often since he married a German and he brings back some every time an has sent some to me with a friend who was visiting Las Vegas , NV .
