Discover how planning your values before you ever place your pencil on paper can dramatically improve the sophistication, clarity, and impact of your drawings. In this YouTube Live drawing session, we will explore the power of value organization and how intentional planning leads to stronger, more confident results. The demonstration begins with creating a clear and effective value map, breaking the subject down into simple, readable value shapes. This process helps you establish visual hierarchy, control contrast, and avoid common drawing problems such as muddiness or over-rendering. Once the value map is established, we will execute a pencil mastercopy, using it as a learning tool to understand how master artists “key” values to create form, depth, and atmosphere.
